A roomier capsule hotel minus the hotel. SLEEPBOX is a series of sleeping boxes, literally, by Russian firm Arch Group that can be arranged in various configurations with site flexibility. With its laser cutprecision and well thought out compactability it’s an intriguing design. But where is that magical receptor that is going to receive all the individual HVAC ducts running to the top of each box as they suggest? Minor details.

GEEK ALERT: CCA (ARCH) teamed up with SCU (ENG) for Solar Decathlon 09' and WON! Proof that cross disciplinary design is the 'A Team' of the future.

Stylist Faye Toogood, of London design firm Studio Toogood, is my new fave. Toogood’s sets designs are all around playful and clever.

September 18th was International PARK(ing) Day where, for one day, eco-friendly activists (and now unemployed people) commandeer metered parking spaces transforming them into temporary public parks. In San Francisco we rode our bikes from park to park snapping pics along the way.

New Favorite Website

This website is straight forward and to the point. The beauty of this websites simplicity has got me thinking a few things (some are note-to-self while others are questions that I ask myself):

1) I need to purchase the url ispanteaawesome.com, asap.

2) what if all urls were simple questions that get answered by visiting the site?

3) I need to start a series of these…whatispanteawearing.com, whatcolorarepanteaseyes.com, doespantealikeflyingsugargliders.com…the list could go on.

Hey folks, here’s a little visual update on the happenings at Delancey. These images are from our last trip out to Seattle. We mocked up table settings, artwork layout, storefront signage and server stations. Things are coming together and we’re all very excited!
